“ Upon walking in on a Friday night around 5:30pm it was not too busy and we got seated right away. We missed happy hour which ended at 5pm. We ordered quite a few things despite that. We got the family style roll deal for $65 and a few appetizers like the mussels, the tempura, and the ika geso. We also added an old fashioned alcohol drink. A little pricey for sushi but maybe thats the price everywhere now. The rolls seemed pretty small as its only 8 pieces and they're skinnnnyyy and cut small. The sashimi on the rolls is sliced super thin that it does not seem as worth it as it should feel like. We finished everything. The sushi was pretty decent but we had issues with the appetizers like the ika geso because it was super overfried to the point where it was hard to chew. No meat, thin, hard and dry, we politely informed them and they took it off the bill for us. The tempura was good but it wasnt fried enough, we could taste the soggy batter. The mussels were yummy, we would get again. Service was friendly and they checked up on us several times and refilled our waters continuously. The music they were playing though was not it, they kept playing weird covers of songs. Just play the original song lol. ”

“ Came to Mikomi again for lunch around the holidays and found that they're under new ownership and have a lunch promotion (until 5pm daily) of 30% off your entire bill! They've added a lot of items to their menu and took away some of the old fusion dishes like the garlic string beans. We were seated right away and service was a little touch-and-go. Our two no rice sushi roll orders came rather quickly, we got a salmon with blue crab roll and an albacore one, I can't remember the names. They were good. Our house salad and Black Truffle Oil Tonkotsu ramen took a while to come out though. Both dishes were fine. Will be back to try to take advantage of their lunch/day promo because without it I don't know if their normal prices are worth it! Restrooms are fairly clean. Parking is shared lot with others in the 88 Place plaza or you can park at other DT Alhambra lots and walk over. ”

“ Came to check this place out due to seeing the happy hour! We ordered a sushi & sashimi standard omakase box and a rainbow roll. The various special sushi in the omakase tasted amazing and left me craving for more bites! The imitation crab meat in the rainbow roll were also astonishing good, they tasted on the higher quality end of imitation crab than most other sushi places that I've frequented. The waiter we had was very nice and quick to take our order; he even helped us with recommendations and explained the differences between standard and premium versions. The place was fairly busy but not loud, and the ambiance felt just right for us to sit back and leisurely enjoy our time there. Definitely will come back for more! :D ”

“ Back in town after spending the week away. Wanted to sit for a drink before our movie. Bartender was extremely friendly. Even informed us that he played a part in creating the specialty drinks. We ordered the White Jasmine and Kerro Kerro. Great mild cocktails. Enough alcohol to taste, with some sweetness to accompany. Will be back to work our way through the drink menu! ”
